Dr. Garth McPherson brings his commitment to excellence and compassion to his practice of radiology with Diagnostic Radiology Consultants. Growing up in a home with two doctors for parents, he learned first-hand what it means to serve patients and the community. He graduated with highest honors from Virginia Tech and the Medical College of Virginia, where he was awarded membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He studied radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham under the world-famous chest radiographer, Dr. Robert Fraser.
Dr. McPherson and his wife, Joyce, are blessed with nine children. He volunteers in medical ministry in the community, and enjoys gardening, ballroom dancing, and country music.
