Having done his undergraduate studies at Georgia State University, Dr. Brett Austin went on to complete his medical doctorate at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After his internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York, he practiced family medicine for three years with the National Health Service. Dr. Austin completed his residency and fellowship in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
He has been with DRC since 1996 and is the Radiation Safety Officer for Hutcheson Medical Center and DRC. Dr. Austin has a passion for the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife Karen. They have three children.
